Hello, world!
My name is Iona, and I can pretty much be summed up as a feminist, cynic, and lover of literature, who lives in a permanent state of utter confusion. I won’t even start on the confusion that has taken over my brain since I began trying to figure out how to use websites! But I think I’m getting the hang of it, slowly…
I’m a Wiccan Quaker (which I think I may have to write a post about, at some point, as no one seems to know what this means); I speak Spanish (but not fluently… yet); and my MBTI type is INTJ (and it’s been so long since I did the thing to find this out, that I don’t even remember what it means!) Oh! And I have a little bunch of health issues, both physical and mental.
In short, I’m just as much of a mess as the next person. But, I mean, we’re all only human, right?
So, why am I here? Well, I love reading and have been passionate about writing for as long as I can remember. From a young age, I have always been intrigued by the power of words, and I think it’s safe to say that I definitely used to be one of those annoying people on Facebook who would comment corrections of spelling and grammar on almost every post I came across. And although I soon discovered that this was not a good way to make friends, it did aid me in honing my skills in regards to writing, proofreading, and editing content. I also find it fun! (Yes, I am perfectly aware of how lame that sounds.)
However, on a more personal note – that being the level at which most of my work is written – I really am excited about being able to share some of the things that twist through my head on a regular basis.
